A few of our young residents are interested in a career in dog training so we at Lavender Grove arranged for 3 professional Dog handlers from different sectors to give our young people some dog training experience. Alistair Todd – Police dog handler with Metropolitan Police who trains drug and explosive detection dogs for customs and Kent police, Josephine Van Der Dussen - Secretary of Utility Gundog Society and puppy walker for guide dogs for the blind and a Judge for the Kennel Club and Leonard Herbert - who is also a Kennel club judge and owner/trainer of filed trial champion gun dogs. Thank you all for giving up your time and for such a wonderful day the children absolutely loved it.
